Intro of sorts: This blog is not intended to be political or even probably all that intersting. This is just a place to note my day to day life. I live in an intentional community in rural, northern, Maine. WE raise animals for meat. We try to live more simply. I have a house cat companion. I work as a software tester. I may go back and add posts from the past, but this is the first post in this blog.
Today was the same old same old at work. Spent most of my time filling gaps in the test cases for project T. The weather was great though, sunny and warm until about dinner time when a "cleansing" rain came through. I did wake up this morning to find Andalusite dead in her cage (black otter doe). I'd been treating her for ear mites and sore hocks, they were pretty bad (she came to me that way). Unfortunately my treatments were insufficient. Got 11 medium brown eggs like clockwork from the hens though, which was nice. It is amazing how quite the birds can be when "the evil rain" comes. Even the roosters are quiet.
Just watched a movie -- documentary actually -- called "Maxed Out". It was written before the "great recession", however, it still brought up many good points about how predatory credit lenders can be ... even the "reputable" ones.
